What you will hear.
The recorded voices you are about to hear differ widely from each other in a number of ways.
The other and most common type of EVP's we encounter are voices found on the tape that are

Thank you for visiting our site.....:)
This recording was taken at the Bevier, Missouri cemetary in Feb. of 2003.
"Your Afraid? Your Afraid? Filtered"
"Your Afraid? Your Afraid? "Amplified and Slowed"
The quality of each EVP "ghost / spirit voice" varies greatly also.
When we listen to our recorded tapes trying to find EVP's "spirit voices", sometimes they jump
right out at us because they are so clear and distinct.
These are the type of EVP's "spirit / ghost" voices that require little if "any" filtering or amplification.
They are clear and clean and almost everyone that hears them hears the same word or
phrase being spoken.
These are the "Home Runs" of ghost voice recordings, but unfortunatly they only account for about 2%
of the voices we capture on tape.
"barely" there. These are the type of sounds that are usually so faint that sometimes you
wonder if you really heard them when you listen to the tape for the first time.
Once it is determined that something is there, the sound is transfered to the computer,
isolated and amplified. Once amplified, it is determined whether or not "filtering" the
static out from around the voice may allow it to be heard with more clarity.
Sometimes it works....sometimes it doesn't.
Most of the time, this type of EVP requires amplification and at least "some" degree
of filtering so that the voice can be understood.
Filtering out the static allows the ghost voice to be heard but it also sometimes leaves behind
soft, musical sounding harmonics mixed in with the EVP voice.
The "amount" of the harmonics varies from voice to voice.
EVP's in this catagory tend to be the type where some people will hear something entirely
different than from what others hear. This is a strange phenomena.
Voices that sound perfectly plain to some people will sound entirely different to someone else.
I call this the 90/10 effect.
About ninety percent of folks will hear "one" word or phrase, and about ten percent of
folks will hear something else.
I very well may be wrong in what I am hearing on some of them. I welcome emails at:
brammer@mcmsys.com
with any comments or to tell me if you hear something differently than what I have described.
Also....keep in mind that if the voices sound remote or mechanical at times, that these people
who are somehow speaking them, no longer have a "physical" voicebox.
Somehow....they are assimilating the "memories" of how they sounded when they were in "our" world.
We also do not know all the factors involved that cause the quality of the recordings
to vary so widely. Solar flares from the Sun, the position of the Moon and the Geomagnetic condition
of the Earth itself seem to influence ghost voice recordings....but much more research needs to be done.
sound player, the files may sound "broken up" the first time they come in.
This is because your audio player attempts to play the file before it is all the way downloaded
Simply wait for the file to completely download and it will play perfectly.
Enjoy of files.

The weather was sunny....but windy, gusting through the treetops now and then.
We stopped the car near the graves of a couple of friends of my Wifes family and invited them
to speak....or anyone else who might be listening.
I asked them to say their names....or tell us anything else they would like to say.
They declined to speak....but instead, a spirit / ghost spoke up and announced that her name was "Susan".
This file has had the static filtered out somewhat....and amplified slightly.
It was not necessary to slow it down.

This is our clearest and what I feel to be one of our most exciting EVP!
Meet "Tom Magruder"....a spirit / ghost who's voice was recorded only shortly after recording the above
"Susan" voice at the same cemetary.
After collecting this EVP....I spent quite a long time at the local library in Macon, MO.
searching historical records and obituaries trying to find him but to no avail.
The local obituaries only went back to 1977.
Anyone reading this who has information about the elusive Mr. Magruder please email me.
I would be very interested in knowing more about him.
This file had very little static....but had to be slowed down considerably.
NO other changes were made.

This EVP scared the bejeezus out of me when I first heard it!
I consider it to be our only HOSTILE evp!
It was recorded at a old small private family cemetary near Moberly, Missouri.
The cemetary is located near Hwy. 63 and close to the KZZT radio station tower.
While on a afternoon "ghost" hunt....my Sister in Law and I stopped at this old
cemetary. I was unable to park close to the gate so I stopped about forty yards away and
sat in the car with the engine and radio turned "Off" and the window down.
I was getting tired so I decided to stay in the car and just hold the microphone out the window.
Melinda....my Sister in law....decided to go ahead and get out and walk up through the gate.
As I sat there withn the recorder running, I could hear her reading the names aloud from
some of the stones.
When she returned....she commented that there seemed to be a lot of small children buried there
from the late 1800's and early 1900"s.
That evening....as I sat alone with my headphones on listening to the tape before I went to bed....
I could hear Melinda's voice way off in the background as she was reading aloud from the stones.
Right out of the blue....this obviously ANGRY ghost / spirit SCREAMED "GET OUT!" in my headphones!
It was loud, clear and HOSTILE!
This woman ghost
was making it clear that at least from her point of view....we were most UNwelcome!
I almost jumped out of my chair!
After playing the tape for my Sister in law the next day....she swore that was enough for her....she
would most assuridly "never" go back out into that cemetary again.
GET OUT!

Meet "Calvin" the friendly ghost!
Calvin was recorded by my friend Melissa.
It was her first EVP and when she aquired it she was so excited she could hardly contain herself.
You will notice that following this file is another Calvin voice.
Strangly....this evp, almost sounds like it has a "feminine" quality to it.
Although the spirit says "Calvin"....it almost sounds like it is someone "trying to get Calvins attention."
You just have to judge for yourself.
This EVP was recorded in Melissa's home.

Calvin speaks again!
A few days after collecting the above recording, Melissa got this one.
This EVP had to be slowed down just a bit....as did the obove recording.
Taken from the exact same location....this spirit which sounds decisivly "male" this time,
announces "Im Calvin".
After this evp was filtered....it has almost a "metallic" tone to it.

The following three sound files are of the same EVP.
We consider it to by one of our most exciting....because it proves that a spirit actually
was interacting with us and with what we were talking about.
While recording in Macon, Missouri....my Wife and I were discussing the cemetary that we were
recording in.
I was looking back toward the back of the cemetary...where the oldest stones were located.
Its also the spookiest place in there....with many monolithic grave markers,
statues, and old knarled trees.
I made the comment to my Wife....that "Thats the only part of this cemetary that
really spooks me."
Eager to tease me about my fears...she grinned and said, "Whats the matter Greg....you scared?"
I said, "No...but I wouldn't come back in here at night!
She then added that "Lea" a friend of hers who lives near the cemetary
told her that she wouldn't come back to this part of the graveyard because it frightened her.
I made a comment about a old mausaleaum up ahead and my wife commented that she though it wasn't
a mausaleum but instead a groundskeepers toolshed.
With that said....we continued on back to that particular section of the cemetary without saying
another word to each other.
On the first file.....because this EVP is so unique....I have left it completely original for our
listeners to hear.
Before you hear me say..."See, I told you that was a mausaleum" you will hear two distinct feminine
voicelike sounds.
When I cleared the static from them....and slowed them down....we were
stunned to hear a woman ghost / spirit
playfully asking....almost teasingly...."Your Afraid? Your Afraid?"
The spirit actually said it twice....it is not a duplication or alteration on our part.
The second file is the same as the first...but with the static filtered down.
The third file is the ghost voice only....but amplifed and slowed down so it can be understoon better.
We are VERY happy with this EVP! :)

This spooky EVP was recorded at the Moberly, Missouri Catholic cemetary.
I had a strong feeling about a certain area....and you will initially hear me speaking,
saying, "I don't know what it is....but I feel it."
Right after I say that...if
you listen very, very carefully....you can hear what sounds like a womans voice,
either singing...or humming a little piece of some soft, sad song.
I have no idea its source....only that there was absolute silence in the cemetary when
I recorded it. Whatever it is....its from the other side.

This is the same EVP as above....only with my voice removed, the static toned down
and amplified just a bit.

This cool EVP "ghost voice" was recorded March 11, at the old Ucebia Church and cemetary near
Novelty, Missouri. Its out in the middle of nowhere....and possibly one of the spookier
places I'v ever been to.
The church has long been abandoned and is in danger of collapse.
I forced open the old door after about a full minute of fighting it to break free from
its weathered frame. When I finally "did" get it to come open....you can hear what sounds
like a female spirit whisper "Okay" as if she were watching me labor with the stubborn door
and accnowledging my feat at getting it open.
Listen for the creeking of the old door as it comes open....then the spirit voice.
This is a clear EVP....but I can assure you....no one was saying anything....it was
NOT one of us!
Okay!
