What you will hear.
The recorded voices you are about to hear differ widely from each other in a number of ways.
The other and most common type of EVP's we encounter are voices found on the tape that are
So....when listening to the files try to keep an open mind.

Thank you for visiting our site.....:)
I also recorded the next EVP at the old Turkey farm cemetary on the same day.
The last EVP I recieved at the Turkey farm cemetary was from this inquiring spirit.
"Who is it? - Slowed version."
(Note to myself and other ghost hunters!)
"What do ya think we ought to say?"

The quality of each EVP "ghost / spirit voice" varies greatly also.
When we listen to our recorded tapes trying to find EVP's "spirit voices", sometimes they jump
right out at us because they are so clear and distinct.
These are the type of EVP's "spirit / ghost" voices that require little if "any" filtering or amplification.
They are clear and clean and almost everyone that hears them hears the same word or
phrase being spoken.
These are the "Home Runs" of ghost voice recordings, but unfortunatly they only account for about 2%
of the voices we capture on tape.
"barely" there. These are the type of sounds that are usually so faint that sometimes you
wonder if you really heard them when you listen to the tape for the first time.
Once it is determined that something is there, the sound is transfered to the computer,
isolated and amplified. Once amplified, it is determined whether or not "filtering" the
static out from around the voice may allow it to be heard with more clarity.
Sometimes it works....sometimes it doesn't.
Most of the time, this type of EVP requires amplification and at least "some" degree
of filtering so that the voice can be understood.
Filtering out the static allows the ghost voice to be heard but it also sometimes leaves behind
soft, musical sounding harmonics mixed in with the EVP voice.
The "amount" of the harmonics varies from voice to voice.
EVP's in this catagory tend to be the type where some people will hear something entirely
different than from what others hear. This is a strange phenomena.
Voices that sound perfectly plain to some people will sound entirely different to someone else.
I call this the 90/10 effect.
About ninety percent of folks will hear "one" word or phrase, and about ten percent of
folks will hear something else.
I very well may be wrong in what I am hearing on some of them. I welcome emails at:
brammer@mcmsys.com
with any comments or to tell me if you hear something differently than what I have described.
Also....keep in mind that if the voices sound remote or mechanical at times, that these people
who are somehow speaking them, no longer have a "physical" voicebox.
Somehow....they are assimilating the "memories" of how they sounded when they were in "our" world.
We also do not know all the factors involved that cause the quality of the recordings
to vary so widely. Solar flares from the Sun, the position of the Moon and the Geomagnetic condition
of the Earth itself seem to influence ghost voice recordings....but much more research needs to be done.
sound player, the files may sound "broken up" the first time they come in.
This is because your audio player attempts to play the file before it is all the way downloaded
Simply wait for the file to completely download and it will play perfectly.
Enjoy of files.

On April 24th, 2003 my Daughter and myself decided to take a ride out to the old
Economy, Missouri cemetary. The official name is the Mt. Tabor Cemetary, and it is
located East of Atlanta, MO by about three miles.
When took along our dog "Schlip" for the ride as he was begging to go with us.
My daughter put him on a leash and away we went.
While at the cemetary.....Megan and the dog stayed in the car so I could walk away from
it to see if I could get any EVP's.
After about 15 minutes of recording.....I signaled to Megan that I was about finished, so
she and the dog got out and began walking amoung the headstones.
Schlip....being a "dog" and wanting to do what dogs do best, was trying desperatly
to pee on the headstones.
Megan wouldn't allow it....saying that it was disrespectful.
She would drag
Him away from them every time he tried.
Eventually.....he found a large cemetary bush....where he was allowed to be "relieved". :)
Why am I telling you this story? Well...I'm getting to it. :)
When we returned home and I listened to the tape....when I got to the part I just
described to you....we were stunned to hear a female ghost - spirit praise Schlip saying.....
"Good Puppy!"
This is the original speed.

This odd EVP was recorded on April 26th, 2003 at the Oaklawn cemetary
in Moberly, MO. Its a bit unclear....but I think it sound like a guy saying....
"How are you?"

On April 29 2003 I went to an old cemetary on the old "Turkey farm" road which is
just East of
Moberly, MO. by a couple miles.
The graveyard is small but VERY old....many of the death dates
on the stones are in the mid 1800's.
I walked amoung the forty or so graves with my recorder running....asking any ghosts - spirits
that might be there to speak to me. In the following file, you will
hear me ask...."Is there anyone here?".....in which I recieved an immediate response
from what sounds to me like a female spirit saying....
YES! I'm here!
For whatever reason.....the final part of her sentence was cut off....but
it is still fairly clear at what she was saying.
"YES! I'm Here!"

I had said aloud...."I sure would like to hear from you if you are here."
There was a long pause....at least a full minute....then this pleasant slow talking
spirit - ghost announced....."I'm comin!"
I like this EVP because the spirit sounds really laid back and easy going....and
makes me think of the stereotype...."Country boy." :)
"I'm Comin!"

Seemingly in response to one of my pleas to hear from them....this spirit asks....

On this date there was a geo-magnetic storm taking place
and "Active" solar activity according to NOAA standards.
On April 30th 2003, my Mother, Daughter Megan and I went on
a little ghost hunting road trip over to the small town of New Cambria, Missouri.
After we found the cemetary....which is located North of the town by about a mile, we
set out walking and "recording" amoung the stones.
Its out in the country...with no houses even close by. Its a peaceful and very pretty place.
This is a BIG cemetary....which surprises you at first because the town is so small.
This is because the town of New Cambria used to be a much larger, busy farming town
back in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
My Mom is a big geneologist....and nothing entertains her better than finding a new
cemetary to explore for long lost relatives.
We captured several good quality EVP's while we were there.
This first was a spirit apparently speaking to "other" ghosts
saying what sounds to us like.....
"What do ya think we otta say?"
